FakeBeforeAfter respects intellectual property rights. While we believe our use of images for educational commentary qualifies as fair use, we take all removal requests seriously and respond promptly.

If you want an image removed

If you are the copyright holder (or authorized to act on behalf of one) and believe that content on this site infringes your copyright, you may submit a takedown request. We aim to process all valid requests within 48 hours.

To submit a request, send an email to hello@fakebeforeafter.com with the following information:

  1. Your full name and contact information
  2. A description of the copyrighted work you claim is being infringed
  3. The specific URL(s) on our site where the content appears
  4. A statement that you believe in good faith that the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law
  5. A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on the owner's behalf
  6. Your physical or electronic signature

What happens next

Upon receiving a valid takedown request, we will:

  1. Review the request within 48 hours
  2. Remove or disable access to the identified content if the request is valid
  3. Notify the original submitter (if applicable) that the content was removed

We reserve the right to evaluate whether the use qualifies as fair use before acting on the request. In most cases, we will remove content upon a valid request regardless, as a matter of good faith.

Counter-notification

If you are a user who submitted content that was removed and believe the removal was in error, you may submit a counter-notification to the same email address. Your counter-notification must include:

  1. Your name and contact information
  2. The URL of the removed content
  3. A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good faith belief the content was removed by mistake or misidentification
  4. Your physical or electronic signature

Repeat infringers

We may terminate access for users who repeatedly submit infringing content.
